Registration

Delegates will be limited to three for each CHB and three for each DHA/IWK.  Each CHB Coordinator will register the delegates for their respective CHB.  Each DHA Operations Liaisons will register their three respective DHA delegates ( CDHA/IWK has only one Operations Liaison). 

The registration links below require a password to access. Passwords will be provided to CHB Coordinators in advance of registration.

TRAVEL COSTS

CHB Delegates

  • Travel costs for CHB delegates will be covered by the Department of Health and Wellness following the event. 
  • Delegates will follow their regular DHA process when submitting travel expenses for reimbursement. 
  • CHB Coordinators will ensure a copy of those expense claims are sent to their respective DHA Operations Liaison, who will then submit them to their DHA for reimbursement. 
  • The DHA Operations Liaisons, as part of their role, are responsible for post-conference expense management and will prepare an expense summary for their CHB delegates and submit it to Annapolis Valley Health, c/o Shelly Taylor, foundation-ekm@avdha.nshealth.ca.  Annapolis Valley Health will reimburse the DHA from Department of Health and Wellness funds. 

For DHA Delegates

  • Travel costs for DHA delegates will be covered by each respective DHA/IWK following the event. 
  • Expense forms are to be submitted directly to your organization. 

HOTEL COSTS
Conference delegates are only responsible for hotel incidentals when checking out. All delegates will be asked to provide credit card information upon check-in to cover incidentals.

For CHB Delegates:  CHB delegate hotel costs are covered by Department of Health and Wellness funds. 

For DHA Delegates:  DHA delegate hotel costs will be invoiced back to their respective DHA’s. 

MEAL COSTS
The Friday evening dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and nutrition breaks are provided at no cost to conference delegates.  Costs for alcoholic beverages will be covered by the individual.

SCENT POLICY
Please refrain from using scented products to respect those who have sensitivities.

PET POLICY

The Old Orchard Inn is listed as pet friendly. However, we recommend you call the hotel before bringing along a pet.

CONFERENCE LOCATION
The conference will be hosted by Annapolis Valley Health at the beautiful Old Orchard Inn & Spa in Greenwich, Nova Scotia.  For more information on the venue, please visit www.oldorchardinn.com (travel directions available on the Old Orchard Inn website).

ACCOMMODATIONS
A block of rooms has been reserved for conference delegates at the Old Orchard Inn.  We encourage delegates to share accommodations whenever possible.   Additional rooms, if needed, have also been reserved at the Slumber Inn in New Minas for conference delegates.
 
CHB Delegates:  Each CHB Coordinator will book accommodations for their CHB delegates.
DHA Delegates: DHA Operations Liaisons will book accommodations for their DHA delegates. 

To make reservations, call 1-800-561-8090. When making reservations, please indicate that you are participating in the CHB Conference being held at the Old Orchard Inn on October 21 and 22, 2011.  Also, if a delegate requires wheelchair access, please indicate this when making the reservation.
